Hydro Ottawa net metering can credit eligible renewable generation exported to the grid. Credits are non-cash, grid capacity and approvals matter, and any remaining credit expires 12 months after it was created.
- The City of Ottawa publishes building-permit submission requirements for solar collectors on low-rise residential buildings. Electrical Safety Authority and Hydro Ottawa connection requirements are separate from the municipal permit.
